Membership Types & Annual Dues:
Standard Membership
$40 per year
For veterans who served during eligible war eras
Sons of The American Legion
$20 per year
For male descendants of veterans
American Legion Auxiliary
$30 per year
For spouses, daughters, granddaughters, and female descendants of veterans
Auxiliary Junior Members
$17 per year
For girls under 18 years old who qualify for the Auxiliary
Eligibility Requirements:
American Legion Membership:
- Veterans who served at least one day of active duty during eligible war eras:
- • World War I: April 6, 1917 - November 11, 1918
• World War II: December 7, 1941 - December 31, 1946
• Korean War: June 25, 1950 - January 31, 1955
• Vietnam War: February 28, 1961 - May 7, 1975
• Lebanon/Grenada: August 24, 1982 - July 31, 1984
• Panama: December 20, 1989 - January 31, 1990
• Gulf War/War on Terror: August 2, 1990 - present - Must have received an honorable discharge or still serving honorably
Sons of The American Legion Membership:
- Male descendants (sons, grandsons, great-grandsons, adopted sons, and stepsons) of:
- • Veterans who served during eligible war eras
• Veterans who died in service during eligible periods
• Veterans who died after honorable service during eligible periods
American Legion Auxiliary Membership:
- Spouses, mothers, daughters, granddaughters, great-granddaughters, and sisters of:
- • Members of The American Legion
• Veterans who died in service during eligible periods
• Veterans who died after honorable service during eligible periods - Female veterans who served during any of the eligible periods

Additional Information
Please bring the following when you visit:
- For veterans: DD-214, military ID, or other proof of service during eligible periods
- For family members: Birth certificate, marriage certificate, adoption papers, or other documentation showing relationship to an eligible veteran
- Payment for annual dues (cash, check, or credit card accepted)
